The difference between ordinary paper and stone paper

2021-09-16

The new wood pulp free stone paper considers many factors such as environmental protection cost, raw materials, processability, market acceptance and future. Although it can not fully replace the market of traditional paper, the printing quality of stone paper is similar to that of traditional paper and has the physical characteristics of synthetic paper. The following compares the differences of wood pulp paper, synthetic paper and stone paper.

Stone paper is recycable
Stone paper products can be recycled through plastic products after use. After collection, they can be crushed and extruded into good additives for PE plastic processing. They can produce colored plastic bags, flower pots, plastic barrels, etc. After being used, stone paper is treated as garbage and sent to the incinerator for combustion. Because it contains a large amount of stone powder and a small amount of non-toxic resin, only non-toxic resin can be burned. When the resin burns, the stone powder will pulverize to promote the contact between the resin and the air, and accelerate the complete combustion of the resin. Therefore, black smoke will not be generated due to anoxic smoldering during the combustion. There is no toxic waste gas after the combustion of non-toxic resin, and the emission of carbon dioxide is the least, which can slow down the warming of the earth. After being used, the stone paper is discarded outdoors. Under the sunlight for about six months, it will automatically embrittle into a broken eggshell shape and return to nature (the paper will not be damaged by ultraviolet rays in the sun, and the resin will not embrittle).

Protection of water resources and energy conservation
Stone paper has a strong awareness of environmental protection. Stone paper products do not need to be washed with water, nor do they need strong acid, alkali and bleach. Therefore, there is no problem of wastewater discharge, does not pollute rivers, seas and other water resources, and the energy consumption in the process is lower than that of traditional wood pulp papermaking, which helps to improve the global warming caused by carbon dioxide (CO2).
Stone paper not only helps to improve the past environmental problems, but also conforms to the future trend of environmental protection. It is believed that it will be an inevitable and widely used product of the development of human science. It is impossible to completely replace traditional papermaking, and the goal should be to replace part of the market. As for whether to replace 30% or 40%, coated paper, newsprint or double offset paper, the key lies only in the maturity, development and perfection of technology
